    INTRACOM TELECOM is a leading telecommunications solutions provider, headquartered in Greece. More than 100 customers in over 50 countries select INTRACOM TELECOM for state-of the-art products and tailored-made solutions.

    Since June 2006, INTRACOM TELECOM is controlled by JSC SITRONICS (Russia) with 51%. SITRONICS is the technology arm of JSFC SISTEMA, the largest consumer services company in Central and Eastern Europe. INTRACOM HOLDINGS Group (Greece), Greece's largest multinational technology group, retains a 49% stake.

    JSC SITRONICS was founded in 1997 in Moscow, Russia, and is active in four core market segments: telecoms equipment and solutions, information technology and software development, microelectronics, and consumer electronics. SITRONICS includes 24 companies based in Moscow, Kiev, Prague, Athens and other East European cities. Its products are sold in Western and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS, North America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

    The SISTEMA portfolio includes market-leading businesses in selected service-based industries, including telecommunications, technology, insurance, banking, real estate, retail and media. Founded in 1993 in Moscow, the company reported in 2005 revenues of $7.6 billion and total assets of $14 billion. SISTEMA shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange, on the Russian Trading System, and on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

    INTRACOM HOLDINGS was incorporated in December 2005, when INTRACOM, a leading company in the field of Telecommunications Systems, Defense Electronics and Information Technology, was transformed to a holding company and three new subsidiaries were established: INTRACOM TELECOM, INTRACOM DEFENSE ELECTRONICS, and INTRACOM IT SERVICES. INTRACOM was founded in 1977 in Athens, Greece.

    Priority Markets

    The systems and products offered by INTRACOM TELECOM address the network and service requirements of incumbent and competitive local exchange carriers operating wireline, wireless, and mobile communications networks. INTRACOM TELECOM focuses on the development of infrastructure and application products that empower operators and service providers to offer new value-added services to their customers, enabling them to produce higher returns and prevail over the continuously growing competition. The systems also cover voice and data transmission requirements over a variety of networks, including those of public administration agencies, public utility companies, private enterprises, and others.

    INTRACOM TELECOM's products and services reach over 50 countries throughout the world, with a focus on Southeast Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Internationally, INTRACOM TELECOM operates and maintains subsidiaries in 12 countries: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYR-Macedonia, Libya, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia - Montenegro, United Arab Emirates, and USA.

    INTRACOM TELECOM (including its subsidiaries) employs 2,600 professionals, of which 68,5% are scientific staff. Roughly 38% of the group's highly skilled employees work outside Greece. INTRACOM TELECOM is committed to attracting and advancing the top engineering and scientific talent in the region.


    Innovation

    Technological innovation and R&D are crucial for INTRACOM TELECOM's development strategy. INTRACOM TELECOM maintains a strong commitment to innovation and R&D; total R&D investment amounts to 8% of annual revenue. The Company operates a number of world-class R&D Labs for the rapid development and testing of new products, has registered a significant number of international patents, and cooperates with the most renowned companies in the market, including Agilent, Alcatel, Axxcelera, Boeing, Cisco, Comverse, Ericsson, Genesys, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Italtel, LogicaCMG, Marconi, Metratech, Motorola, Nortel Networks, Oracle, Siemens, Sun Microsystems and others.

    INTRACOM TELECOM conducts joint research programmes with Athens Information Technology (AIT - www.ait.edu.gr), an advanced non-profit education and research centre founded by INTRACOM in 2001. AIT, in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University, offers postgraduate programs in Information Technology and Networking, and participates in international ICT scientific research. In addition, AIT also offers two other academic postgraduate educational programs: MSITT (Master of Science in Information and Telecommunications Technologies) and MBIT (Master of Science in Business, Innovation and Technology). AIT frequently hosts executive education programs offered by Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government to students from Southeast Europe and the Middle East. AIT's mission is to foster and promote scientific excellence, technology innovation, and research inspiration.
