The business reorganization and streamlining for the SSO is one of the primary items in Government Agendas for implementing e-Government initiatives. This reorganization process is facilitated and supported through ICT technologies, and in some sense it is regarded as a highly interactive process, whereby business reorganization is performed in parallel with technology introduction.
The business reorganization and streamlining for the SSO is one of the primary items in Government Agendas for implementing e-Government initiatives. This reorganization process is facilitated and supported through ICT technologies, and in some sense it is regarded as a highly interactive process, whereby business reorganization is performed in parallel with technology introduction. In the Social Security sector, the company is implementing the Social Security Foundation’s (IKA) integrated IT system, one of the largest and most sophisticated projects on both the Greek and European level, covering all the Foundation’s operations as part of its modernization program. The projects impact has already become evident to the public, following the elimination of payment stamps, the on-line connection of all IKA branches, the establishment of the health services on-demand call line (184), the provision of web-based services, etc. Based on the know how gained in this area, INTRACOM developed the Social Security Information Systems product, an integrated and reliable solution that will spearhead the company’s efforts aimed at further penetrating the European markets.
