Laboratory RF and Microwave Systems

The R&D activity of the Lab is focused on the development of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint digital radio systems with the following general features:

• Frequency range: 400MHz to 38GHz
• Low and medium capacities (currently up to 34Mbps)
• Various modulation schemes (4FSK, CPM, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM, 128TCM)

Know-how of the Lab includes:

• Transceiver system analysis
• Microwave and millimeter wave design, including active and passive elements
• Digital modulation and coding methods
• Frequency synthesis techniques
• Carrier and clock synchronization techniques
• Channel equalisation
